Description

Hexarelin is a synthetic hexapeptide with the sequence His-D-2-methyl-Trp-Ala-Trp-D-Phe-Lys-NH2, belonging to the growth hormone secretagogue family. The 2-methyl modification on the D-tryptophan residue distinguishes it from GHRP-6 and increases resistance to enzymatic degradation. It acts at the ghrelin receptor GHS-R1a and has also been studied for binding at CD36. First described in the early 1990s. Supplied as a white to off-white lyophilized powder, readily soluble in water. This product is strictly for research purposes only.
