Description

PNC-27 is a synthetic 32-amino acid peptide combining a p53 amino-terminal sequence corresponding to residues 12 to 26 with a leader sequence derived from the HDM-2 binding domain, joined to a membrane-penetrating region. It was designed to interact with HDM-2 present in the membranes of transformed cells in culture. First described in the early 2000s. Supplied as a white lyophilized powder, soluble in water.
