Description

ACE-031, also called ramatercept, is a soluble fusion protein combining the extracellular domain of the activin receptor type IIB (ActRIIB) with the Fc portion of human IgG1. It functions as a ligand trap, binding myostatin and related TGF-beta family members before they reach cell-surface receptors. The Fc domain extends persistence in solution. First described in the late 2000s. Supplied as a lyophilized powder, reconstituted before laboratory use. This product is strictly for research purposes only.
