Description

Snap-8 is a synthetic acetylated octapeptide, acetyl glutamyl heptapeptide-3, elongated from the shorter Argireline sequence. It is derived from the N-terminal region of SNAP-25, a SNARE protein required for vesicle fusion at nerve terminals. The peptide is studied in laboratory work as a competitive fragment in SNARE complex assembly models. Supplied as a white lyophilized powder, water-soluble.
