Description
5-Amino-1MQ (5-amino-1-methylquinolinium) is a small-molecule quinolinium derivative and a selective, substrate-competitive inhibitor of nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT). Most commonly supplied as the iodide salt. The active cation (C10H11N2+) is a methylated quinolinium ring with a 5-amino substituent targeting the substrate-binding site of NNMT. Characterized in in vitro enzyme-inhibition and cell-based studies. Strictly for research purposes only. Not approved for human or animal use.
